What I wish I had in the iPhone

by Derald Freeman

  1. I want an iPhone where both sides have a screen on it. When I’m on a call, the second side would let me look up contacts, a map, notes, and dates without having to leave the phone screen and come back to it.

  2. For the people with dropped call and antenna problems we propose carrying your own solution. Steve Jobs said even the 3G and 3GS would have antenna problem when held a certain way. I have tried every method and nothing attenuated the calls.

  3. Double tap selects word, triple tap selects sentence, everywhere. Tap and drag to select multiple.
  4. Bullets & numbering in notes.
  5. GPS in the 3G. How hard could that be?
  6. Video in the 3G. That’s another one that was overlooked.
  7. Voice dialing on the 3G. That’s a 3rd one.
  8. Bullets & numbering in notes.
  9. Notes sync.
  10. When adding an event into the calendar you should be able to enter the event name and the time on the first page, not on 2 separate pages. This creates lots of extra steps.
  11. When clicking a link in email after you finish with web page you can not get back to email without extra clicks.
  12. Apple needs to sell a car charger under their name that actually syncs to the computer with the included sync cable. I bought the 3rd party recommended products, Griffin and InLine, and returned both because my computer would not recognize the sync cable.

  13. No Bad iPhone Ideas – Facebook Integration in iPhone OS: Recent reports have said that Apple plans to build Facebook. Forget integrating Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube into iPhone. Don’t bring it up again. I need to sleep at night.
  14. Nuke the hand warmer apps. What, people don’t have gloves?
  15. I saw someone use the iPhone as a flashlight in a restaurant recently. Great idea, so I downloaded the app, *flashlight. Now there are 40 of these apps in the store. We need 100 more of these apps on the iTunes store. We don’t have enough. (Satire)
